relaxing weekend...

saturday i had my training with starbucks at their training center...learned a lot more about their coffee, how it's made, where it comes from, why it's expensive, career opportunities, benefits...lots of stuff. there were about 20 other new "partners", i met another woman about the same age as me who is doing the same thing- stay at home mom working for some extra money and time away from the kids...so that was cool. everyone else was nice, all born either in 1987 or after...so i was pretty much the oldest. i think i was older then the training specialist! anyways, it just confirmed more for me that i want to be a starbucks manager...i really like the operations side. i have done corporate jobs, and i really think i enjoy interacting with the public more...so we will see where it takes me.
joe had a good day with the kids...cole was a bit fussy, but lately - what is new? when i came home jade was so excited to see me, she was standing at the top of the stairs (behind the gate) greeting me over and over with "ma, ma,ma-ma"- so cute!
sunday we didn't do much. we went to barnes and noble and i bought the new rachel ray cookbook with some of my giftcard $$...that's about it...now it's monday - i have a stomach ache and joe isn't feeling the greatest either. the sun is shining though, i can tell fall is in the air...it's a lot more crisper..i just love fall!
if anyone is a die-hard starbucks coffee fan, let me know and i will send you some coffee! we taste tested commercial vs. starbucks and boy you sure can tell the difference...i can tell you why if you are interested...i think one of my goals is to become a coffee guru...ha ha!

It sounds like Starbucks will be a good fit for you. I'm sure it's nice to get out of the house for awhile and make money at the same time!

That's so cool you're learning the ins and outs of Starbucks! They do have great coffee. If you send me some, I will send you some that we have from here that's really good, if you're not O-D'd on the coffee thing :) Hope you guys have a great week!
