alki beach

today we headed to west seattle to visit alki beach...we left the house at 9am to try and beat the rush, which we did. so we parked the car and off we went...now, i thought it would just be a little jaunt to the main area of alki, but noooo...it's like a 4 mile walk to the hub of alki....joe told me to park at the first available spot...so of course i listened...okay next time, i am going with my gut and not parking right off the exit....oh and another thing, joe didn't want to bring the double stroller - thought it would be to much "hassle" - again, next time i will voice my opinion a bit louder cause right now my back is killing me from carrying cole (who weighs 20lbs) 4 1/2 miles!!!! okay, not meaning to complain too much, cause we did have a nice time...we had breakfast at this little restaurant with a view of the sound, then went and watched some heavy lifting contest...kinda funny seeing all these guys/gals that were so buff...there were some old guys too that were all ripped- i didn't think it was that attractive....we headed home around 2ish...poor joe had to run the last mile to get our car cause we had some meltdowns and couldn't do the last part with the kids...once there were in the car they snoozed the whole way home and for about two more hours once we got home - must have wiped them out....jade had so much fun playing on the beach and combing for seashells...the tide was pretty out...


now, both babies are winding down and we are going to start the movie "disturbia" - i guess it's supposed to be pretty good. watched "300" last night and well...i fell asleep half way through it...i am not much into fighting movies...
