we have had a good weekend! we started the weekend off with pizza, beer, and good movie - the good shephard...it sure was long, but interesting...saturday we all headed to the mall - joe had some unused gift cards that he wanted to shop with. the kids were great...we ended our outing at cheesecake - yummy!! came home, then jade and i went swimming! for my mother's day gift joe got me a membership to a gym - and he got jade one too - to swim. i wasn't completely thrilled about getting into a bathing suit- ugh. anyways, we started out in the little kiddy pool - it's really cool - they have this big mushroom thing in the middle with a fountain of water - so we walked around the little fountain, very slowly - jade wasn't sure of this big bathtub yet...anyways, i was holding one of her hands and all of a sudden she did a face-plant into the water - i have no idea why...so i quickly grabbed her by the stomach and boy did that cause the waterworks - i felt so bad - but i couldn't help laughing a bit too - cause it was so funny - the face plant - i mean why did she do that...i don't get it...she just decided to fall over...so the first time didn't go as smoothly as i thought it would...we will try again soon.
today has been a good day - joe fed cole at 5am (he slept through the night - yahoo - only the second time though) so i got to sleep in a bit...then we got the kids ready and headed to breakfast. i picked out the place - alexa's cafe in bothell...according to city search it's supposed to be one of the best breakfast joints - well i don't agree. it was a nice enough place...but the service wasn't the greatest, the food was okay - nothing special..this is the second time that i have listened to city search and not been very happy and the both happened to be in bothell. hmm...
joe has been extra helpful today - he went grocery shopping, has done some laundry and helped tons with the kids - there is one instance to comment on - both kids had poopy diapers, so joe asked me what one i wanted..so i said cole (jade just stunk so bad)...well cole had a complete blow-out (another outfit change)...and jade - well all that stink and one little itty-bitty pebble - about the size of a cheerio!! ha...he got lucky!

Swimming with Jade how fun...I don't think I could be seen in a swimsuit!....Looks like your Mothers day was wonderful!!!
Sounds like you had a great Mother's Day! ah, I remember the days of poopy diapers and doing rock, paper, scissors for who was going to do the changing!!
Glad you had a great weekend! Sounds like you guys will have fun at the pool before long . . .the nice thing about taking the kids to the pool is usually no one is paying any attention to the mom and how she looks in her suit, the kids are just too cute to look anywhere else :)
