the end of memorial day weekend is here...what a great weekend we had. first off, many thanks to my mom and sister. my mom drove all the way up here to watch the kids while joe and i had a mini weekend in seattle. my sister gave up her downtown apt for us to stay at...thank you! joe surprised me with a hair appt at the downtown gene juarez...i got my hair cut and colored...so much fun. that place is sooo nice...i have been to that salon before, but never the downtown one. it was so fun to be pampered! then from there we walked around downtown and then headed to dinner. we went to this new trendy restaurant called Twist...very nice and good service. after dinner, we headed to del rey where we had some friends meet up with us. there were about 10-15 of us...so much fun! thank you to all that came out! sunday we slept in till 9am and headed to etta's for brunch - it is one of tom douglas' restaurants - it was sooo good...we walked around pike place market and then headed home. great time! joe treated me like a queen the whole weekend. i am so lucky to have such a sweet husband!
i sure missed my babies! i must have called at least 20 times! ha! when we got home jade really didn't want much to do with me...she wasn't even excited to see me - i think she was a bit mad at me for leaving? she warmed up later on that night...cole was sleeping soundly...my mom said they were perfect.
today we didn't do much..we went to this park, cottage lake - near our house...it is so cute...great park for kids - big jungle gyms and swings...then we headed to barnes and noble - got a coffee and roamed around. so many kids books that i wanted to buy!
joe is bbq spare ribs - yummy! i better go and get everything else ready! here are some pics of the weekend....
