say cheese- smile jade and cole!

to start the weekend off, my dad came in town around 2ish on friday...jade and cole had been waiting all week for his visit. they love their papa...saturday, we took a bunch of stuff to value village...sadly, the cradle and changing table...ahh...so hard to give away...but now our garage is less of a crowded space. after saying goodbye's to dad...i headed into seattle to get my hair done by new favorite hair stylist...i love it...she did semi-chuncky highlights in the front - really blonde...then i rushed home got the kids fed and ready for family pics on alki beach. it went very well. they both absolutely loved the sand. cole wanted to dive right into the water...i had to run after him a few times to catch him, i don't think he would have stopped. jade loved the feel of sand on her feet and was concentrating so hard to make a sandcastle. she always asks me when she can go the beach to make sandcastles...well she got her wish. we did the first round right on the beach and the second round was with the seattle skyline. so beautiful. i know they are going to turn out perfectly! in fact, i saw a sneak peek and i am waiting to get the okay from my photographer to post them on here...so stayed tuned! after two hours of picture taking the kids and joe and i were so tired and ready to head home. we grabbed a pizza, ate real fast and off to bed...what a great day at alki - i love it there. sunday, i opened the store...but home by 10am...did all the weekly shopping and off we went to st. edwards park...a beautiful park in kenmore. they have the most amazing playground equipment. it's completely gated and they have a special section for little tots...lots of trails and grassy areas...we will be heading back there a lot. during this time a realtor called and said she was going to show our house, but couldn't give me a time..great...what are we supposed to do then...well by 530pm still hadn't heard from her so we grabbed take-out (once again) and headed home...no showing. so imagine the buyers found another place...ugh. we have been eating out so much on the weekends, cause i don't want to make a mess in the kitchen and then get a call that says "can you please be out of your house in 10 min"....so i am a bit sick of take out!
this week will be a sorta busy for me...i am working a lot at night and then my mom is town for a few days! Yah!
