joe surprised me with a wonderful trip to santa monica, CA....we left thursday morning and got back sunday night. we had so much fun! we stayed at a very nice hotel right on the beach and spent our days walking on the beach, relaxing in front of the pool, and of course eating and drinking beachside. sometimes i wonder why we are choosing to live in the seattle area, where it rains most of the year, opposed to a sunny place like santa monica. i will have to say people are in much better shape and much more relaxed (well once you get off the freeways!). i could go into greater detail on what we did, but long story short, we relaxed, slept in, had a few spa treatments, ate good food, talked a lot...it was great. of course, we both missed our kids like crazy, but they were well taken care of by my mom. by sunday jade was ready for us to come home, but i think they both did a great job with it being the first time. so now we are back to routine...which means i need to go change cole's poopy diaper right now! ha!
enjoy the pics...isn't the beach beautiful! reminded me of baywatch...with the lifeguards and all the surfing! oh and by the way...you will see in the pics joe climbed a very tall climbing rope, there is an acrabatic school right on the pier so throughout the day you would see people doing all sorts of cool stunts on the beach...they have ropes, rings and bars for people to try it out on...really fun to watch! joe did a great job climbing up!!

YOu guys are so darn cute. You deserve a 'holiday' together. How very sweet. You be glad for the great husband that you have....and he can even do stunts it looks like!
