Christmas 08

We had a great Christmas. It arrived with about a foot of snow. i don't think i will ever "dream of a white christmas" again...it's beautiful and all, but enough is enough in seattle! i think tomorrow will be the first day that we can actually drive our car. the plow finally came! okay, enough of that...here are some wondeful pics of our day and the days leading up to the big day. my sister has much better pics, and when i get those i will post those as well...but here is a teaser...

xmas 08

this year we spent xmas eve at home with andra...i fixed king crab legs and homemade fettucini, we started out with cheese fondue...it was a great meal. had some tasty hot chocolate after the kids went to bed and watched "christmas vacation" one of our fav holiday movies. the kids opened gma/gpa gecas gifts, which they loved! we hung our stockings (kinda) and layed out cookies for santa. the next morning jade woke up and sweetly told me it was xmas morning and that she was so excited!! we got up, opened our santa gifts and stockings and off we went to my gma's in tacoma. we got stuck and joe had to push me all the way out of our driveway/road...we got stuck with chains! took the chains off at kirkland, we were smooth sailing to tacoma. we arrived there, had yummy breakfast, opened all the gifts, which ended with a huge surprise to joe and i from my parents....they rolled in a 42'' LCD tv!!! so nice!! finally we are with the rest of you folks out there...we had a really old tv. it was a huge surprise and we couldn't believe it! it's beautiful and today i ordered cable! first time in 10 years since i have had cable!! wow! can't wait!
jade and cole had so much fun with their cousins...we had a great traditional meal with more food then imagined...i ate so much...even today, i am still nibbling on fudge, cookies, chex mix...ahhhh...
my parents brought the tv up yesterday, it's all set up with joe's new xbox 360 installed, so guess what joe will be doing now when the kids are sleeping...playing xbox! he was so excited to get that too! i think one of my fav gifts was Pink's new CD funhouse...i love it, listening to it right now! joe got me some comfy uggs, which are the most comfortable shoes i have ever had...anyways, it was a great time and i am sad that it is over. but now we have jade's b-day coming up! big 3 years old!
