the kids and i just got back from an extended weekend in moses lake. we arrived friday afternoon with the temp already near 100 - saw my grandparents and then headed to my parents for some baby pool time. cole's first time in a baby pool. poor little guy got the wrath of little jade - she loved to dump water on him...all in good fun. of course cole didn't like it one bit. soon though, he was pouring water on her, just couldn't reach her head though. i got sunburned, i was so white, i couldn't help but turn bright red...ahhh..oh well. we had a good time, as always. jade absolutely was in heaven...she rode her bike, went for walks, washed cars, swam, played with cousins...she loved it. in fact, yesterday when we were nearing our house she realized we weren't in moses lake anymore and cried for about 30min...she wanted to go to "nana and papa's house"...oh gosh. cole on the other hand was a mr. fussy pants...i think i have come to the conclusion that he doesn't like to get out of his comfy zone. he was great at my parents, but anytime we went anywhere else (to my gma's) or when people he wasn't familiar with were around, he cried, screamed...ahhh....so now i am afraid everyone thinks he is such a little screaming rascal!
joe had a good weekend as well. he got to spend time with his friend, greg and hang out with his sister. he was so excited to see us. cole couldn't get enough of him, hugged his leg like he was never letting go. jade on the otherhand was still pouting that we weren't going back to nana and papa's...i think she is finally over it now!
i had to work last night - ugh. our air conditioning was broke, so it was 90 in the front of the store and over a 100 in the back...it was AWFUL! i was so drained...ugh, i hated it. last night was a hard night...i was thinking to myself while i was cleaning up 3 glasses that i dropped and broke - "why the heck am i doing this again?!"...not for the $$ obviously...anyways, they are supposed to be working on the air conditioning and getting it fixed by today.
we got half of our wood blinds installed and will do the rest tonight...then it should be ready - about time i say!
