about 3 weeks ago, or maybe more, martha stewart had a cupcake week on her tv show. everyday of that week she showcased her favorite cupcakes from around the US. on thursday, a seattle bakery, trophy cupcakes made it on thursday! so ever since i have wanted to try it out. my sister-in-law, kathy is here for the month, so we headed out to try the cupcakes! what a cute little place it is and the cupcakes were soooo good. i got jade a triple chocolate cupcake, kathy got choc chip mint and i got vanilla with choc - sooo yummy. jade was in heaven and her face looked like she face planted herself in a pool of frosting...so funny. i brought two home for more taste testing - red velvet and choc with vanilla frosting...yummy!
before our outing we went to the mall to purchase "mom and me at the zoo" t-shirts. we are going to go to a mother's day festival at the woodland park zoo on saturday. should be fun...jade loves animals...i sure hope they have penguins cause she can't wait to see them...i have no idea why.
i have had such a great time visiting with kathy...so glad she is here for this month. her boyfriend is a chef and the word on the street is that he is going to be coming over in the near future to cook my favorite - filet mignon with a gorgonzola cream sauce - oh my gosh! my mouth is watering...

Yum Yum! I love cupcakes....You guys will have fun at the Zoo, we did that last year with my mom and the kids...so much fun! Melissa and Todd go every year so don't be surprised if you see them there...We bumped into them! All your food talking has gotten me hungry!
