sally flew in on thursday and from then on we had a great time. we were in celebratory mood due to joe's wonderful raise...so we all were in very good moods. on friday, sally, the kids and i headed out to check out some housing developments. poor little cole started to get a cough and a much worse cold, so we didn't get much looking in. thankfully, the little guy is feeling better and we aren't waking up to a nose 3 inches full of dried snot anymore - sorry so descriptive, but i have never seen anything like it. but with our little looking on friday, we knew we didn't want to live in that certain area. saturday came along - i worked in the early morning and came home to some more house hunting. this time, joe went with...not very successful. we went to an open house on a 3 story, newly built home...very nice, but way too many stairs and no yard! so that is a big no for me...i will not get another home with more stairs or no yard. that night joe and i went out to dinner - we had a great time - i stuffed myself with yummy cheesecake. sunday morning was filled with one more day of house hunting - this time we had huge success...found a great place in silver lake - which is south everett - 6 miles from joe's work. it is a 3 year old home, craftsman style, 4 bed, 3 bath...just perfect...with a yard too...but i am sure it will be gone by the time we have sold our house, but now we know what area we want to live in...this little development even had a little private park and trails to walk a long. the development only consisted of 15-20 homes...perfect...
sally's visit was just way to short...jade is going through withdrawls...it was sad to see her go...but she will be back hopefully in a few months. so we are back to the grind again...
OH MY GOSH...i almost forgot to mention the huge cole news - he took his first steps this past week and over the weekend took a total of 5 steps in a row - yahoo!! he took two more today..he's on his way! watch out!

WOW, such great news about Cole walking...Watch out world!....Lila is close crusing around wherever she can.....How fun to go house hunting...I am sure you will find what you are looking for....So fun!
Way to go Cole! It's so fun to watch them take those first few tenative steps! Sounds like you had a fun weekend . . .good luck with the house hunting.
