today was a big day for jade - we brought up her toddler bed and got it all set up...she was so excited she wanted to take a nap right then...well that didn't last long- dang it! ha! so nap time came and cole in his crib and jade in her "big girl" bed...oh gosh, what a little fiasco- didn't work...jade climbing out of bed, getting into all her toys and then throwing them in cole's crib...jade tucking her baby in her 'big girl' bed with blanket and nightime book, but where was jade...oh she was getting into EVERYTHING! ahh...so naptime quickly ended for jade, as she was keeping cole up (this is why we need a new house pronto)...so now we are going to transition into it...nap time in 'big girl' bed and if she stays in it then she can sleep nightime in it...tonight she is back in her crib...wondering if i started this too early? anybody have any advice???
it was a bit sad for me, getting her toddler bed set up...ahhh...time flies! and now cole is going to be 1 in a month...tear tear...:)
this weekend we organized, trying to get ready to put up our house for sale...we organized the kids bedroom..and to tell you the truth that's all we got accomplished...oh wait, joe made a project plan for us...the steps and milestones we need to accomplish before the big "for sale" comes...he's such a project manager! jade and i headed out for a bunch of boring errands-i get so sick of grocery shopping and all that...same ol' same ol'...spending tons of $$ on boring stuff! but we need it all...on another note, it was absolutely beautiful here this weekend. we headed to the park...cole's first time on the slide - he loved it...jade was in heaven of course...couldn't enough of the big toys! i have some cute pics to download at a later date - too lazy right now.
mr. cole has been walking around like a big boy...bought him a "my first b-day shirt" today at babiesrus and i have started to plan his little shin-dig...just a little family get together. i researched where i am ordering his cake - well i should say cupcakes - cute little cupcake bakery in seattle...i can't wait to eat them - ha ha!
joe and i also watched some great movies- american gangster and we own the night! loved them both. we still have michael clayton to watch...heard that was good.
so that was a fast recap on our ever-exciting weekend...exciting for jade and her new bed!!! let's hope we have her sleeping soundly in it soon.....

So awesome you got the kids room organized....I feel like organizing is never ending here....I think you are doing great with Jade and the toddler bed...my kids still prefer their crib...I even try to leave the sides down so they can climb in and out and they freak out and make me raise them....So am not much help....must be a comfort for them.....we hope to get them into big girl beds by the end of spring.....Still can not believe Cole and Lila are almost 1...
