all the preparations...

i guess it's about time i post, it's been quite awhile. thanksgiving already here...wow! i am hosting it for my side of the family this year. we are not having a traditional turkey, but a prime rib on the rotesserie! yummy! joe and i decided that is what our t-day meal will be from now on. this is our second year doing it this way. i also cook a traditional lithuanian (where joe's family is from) dish, kugulus, another tradition started last year. we also are having a homemade green bean casserole (no cream of mushroom soup in this one), supposedly it's supposed to be the best ever. i did my grocery shopping late last night and i couldn't believe how busy the store was!!! craziness! i am alsovery excited to set my table, because my gma gave me my great, great, great gma's/gpa's china - it's absolutely beautiful and so very old! i love it!! she also gave me some china pieces from her relatives homeland...so neat! tonight i work - help set up the store for the big xmas reveal...then wake up early and get started on the food. i can't believe xmas is less then a month away...i need to get busy, so many things to get ready and mail! i love this time of the year. we have lots of fun stuff planned for the kids.
hope everyone has a happy thanksgiving!
