all the happenings...

...i will start off with our dishwasher breaking...ugh...i knew it was going to kick the bucket and one morning it decided to foam at the bottom and top (with soap) and stop working all together...great! then it was halloween...jade and cole are a bit too young to actually "get" halloween, but we had a fun time. we went to downtown bothell's halloween festival. they close off main street and all the stores open up for trick or treating, they have lots of fun stuff going on as well. jade was a little princess and cole a cowboy...didn't invest too much in their costumes...i guess next year i will. they had a blast. we trick or treated for 30 mins then it was time to go, cole was running around like crazy and their were tons of people. jade was completely fascinated with the candy...she never really has had any...so it was a huge treat. saturday, we headed to sears to buy a new dishwasher...well they were having a great sale, so we decided to outfit the whole kitchen in brand new stainless steel appliances...wow!!! we are hoping this will help sell the house as well. so as of last night we have all of our new appliances installed and looking shiny! sunday, cole woke up with a red bump, that looked similiar to an insect bite, so i just kept a good eye on it, monday he woke up, with another one...so by this time, i was wondering what the heck is going on...i totally cleaned down his crib, took it all apart...no bugs...hmmmm...tuesday, he woke up with 2 more little bumps...okay now i am taking him to the doc...afraid for chicken pox...my usual doc wasn't in, so i saw another one...she really didn't know what they were...she thinks they are related to his cold...i guess sometimes you can get a viral rash along with a cold...but i am gladly to report they are just about gone..thank goodness for no chicken pox! and then the election night...wow! i had to work, not excited about that...but i got back in time to watch obama's acceptance speech, which was amazing and thrilling at the same time. i am really excited to see what the next 4 years brings us, hopeful at the same time that he will follow through with everything he says and believes in....that night at work, we were giving out free tall drips to anyone that asked for one...in celebration for the election...wow, we were busy, all for a free 1.70 cup of coffee...so funny, people just love free stuff. i even had two lady's ask if they could have a mocha instead...what??? you want more?! i quickly said NO! the first holiday promo came out this week, i set it up at our store...we have a new thankgiving blend..tom douglas, chef in NW, worked with starbucks to create a coffee that pairs with thankgiving dinner...quite good, brings out the buttery tastes...we also came out with a new line of sandwiches, and a few new pastries...new mugs of course...a recycled tumbler made out of recycled plastic, pretty neat...those have been selling fast. and double paned glass mugs to insulate better...soo cool. anyways, what a week so far...this weekend joe works the whole weekend, releasing some project...so my parents are coming up to help with the kids...i have to work as well...should be a good weekend...can't believe it's already november, and even more, i can't believe that there are already xmas decorations out...ahhh...gotta get busy - i guess.
enjoy our pics

Love the pics of your kids. The appliances look nice too. You can tell they are brand new because they are super shiny and don't have like a bazillion tiny fingerprints on them!
