peace and quiet...what to do?

kids are in bed, joe is working out at the gym...and all i hear is the fridge's soft hum....and i have nothing to do...well, i do have dishes, clothes to fold, and a messy living room...but those can wait...i just am too lazy right now. let's see...saturday we headed to woodland park zoo...a favorite of joe's and now jade's. jade is entranced with giraffe's...don't ask me why, and how she got to the point of absolutely loving them...i can't even remember showing her a picture of one. anyways, all she wanted to do once we got in the car to go to the zoo was see the giraffe's...so we saw them...and joe and jade got to feed them! two giraffe's at that....one took a big leaf right from her hand...at first she jumped away, but then became comfortable....she also got to pet a baby goat and watched two teenage gorrilla's play around with eachother...i believe she had a great time. cole on the other hand...he's not into animals yet...and all he wanted to do was run around in all different ways...in the beginning we let him be independent, then it got too hard and too many people, so after a screaming fit, he was in the stroller. so that was our day at the zoo....fun! i think we are going to get season passes...it's such a fun time for families!
sunday i worked..nothing too exciting...we had one realtor do a preview, but no showings at all...can't believe. i thought with the lowering of the price that we would get some action...i guess it wasn't the price. oh well...i am getting used to the idea of staying put until summer.
joe and i just booked a mini-vacation to fairhaven - the historic district (i think) of bellingham...we have been there before and loved it. we are staying at a resort/spa right on the marina. we are indulging in massages and scalp massages..wow! can't wait! it's for our anniversary and my mom is coming up to babysit...we are taking the scenic chucknut drive up, which i heard is absolutely beautiful in the fall...we are very excited.
well i think i will sign off, nothing too exciting going on...cole's 18 mon appt is tomorrow - ahh...he's getting so old! ....i am excited for that...to see how much the big boy has grown!!
