Christmas recap, New Year's and photos

it's been awhile since the last post, and now it's 2008! we spent xmas in moses lake this week and had a great time. joe and i had some time to ourselves and i got to sleep in! hoorah! my mom had a very full house, so there was lots of chaos! jade loved it, but cole was a bit apprehensive with all the people. he cut 3 teeth on the 24th and was a bear to deal with. jade played endlessley with cousins - ages 7, 5, 3 and 6 mons...she had so much fun. she learned to throw a snowball and i even caught my little angel smacking her little 3 year old cousin!!! i was astonished, i have no idea where she would pick that up, cause we don't believe in spanking...but anyways, while i was playing a round of cards with the fam, my behind-the-back eyes caught her hitting kyle lightly...it wasn't a huge smack, just a little one to tell him that she wanted the toy he was playing with...ahh...so we quickly went to time-out and i don't think she did it again. jade was surprised with a life-size kitchen...she loves it!!! she hasn't stopped playing with it since. she got 3 more babies to play with and lots of other stuff! so much fun! joe and my sister got me cole and jade's birthstones set in a stackable ring. i love it...i actually picked it out. one is emerald cut and the other round...so pretty. and they are stackable so when i have another baby (hmmm..) i can get another one right on top. we headed home on the 27th with my dad...he had to drive his truck wiht all our loot cause it wouldn't fit in our car. then it was back to work for me for a few days. new year's eve we spent with kathy and khalid - i had to work till 9, but they made filet mignon in this yummy gorgonzola sauce (that was to die for). khalid is a professional chef and is amazing! anyways, i got off work had a bit of filet, and we toasted in the new year with champagne and the movie "the reaping"...pretty exciting.
so today was a bit of an emotional day for us. around 930 - cole fell. he is almost walking and is cruising on every piece of furniture he can find. he is quite daring. i was at the computer desk and he was at my feet. he pulled himself up to jade's highchair and then tried to walk to the book case...well he slipped and down he went, hitting his mouth on the foot rest of the highchair. screaming, blood, and a half hour later we were at dr. wu's. he hit his front tooth - which was causing the bleeding. dr doesn't think it will turn black, but she said that was the least of her worries...she said that he could have damaged some orbital structure - anyways, he didn't...so all is fine. now we just wait and see if his tooth will come in black...let's pray it doesn't!
