the kids and i just got back from a week visit at my parents. my mom had the week off. we had such a great time. the weather was beautiful so jade and cole spent a lot of time roaming and playing outside. cole pretty much ate dirt and rocks (well tried to), jade rode her bike and played basketball for the first time. our days were spent with me sleeping in (thanks mom and dad), going out to lunch and spending time with my grandparents. jade also had her first real ice-cream cone, i know some of you might think-first? - but it was and she loved it!
when we arrived back at home, jade told me that she wanted to go back to nana and papa's house...hmm...ha! my dad bought jade and cole real cowboy hats and they loved them...especially cole...he never wants to take it off.
other news, we gave cole his first haircut on saturday. he was such a good little boy. so no more fly away hairs, he has a crewcut now...so cute! here are some pics. i noticed the pic doesn't do justice...we took about 1 1/2-2 inches off...wow! of course, i kept a bit in a little envelope!

yesterday, the kids and i headed to nordstroms to get jade some new shoes. i had suspected that her current shoes were a little tight, so time to buy more. she was sooo excited! we ended up getting her pink puma's and some bright pink croc's....she got to choose the color and of course she said PINK! cole's new puma's are in the mail...so they will be matchy matchy!! oh and a side note - jade is a size 9 - she was wearing a size 7- ah i feel so bad!!!!
well better get back to the kiddos...and of course cleaning!

Wow, sounds like a wonderful week at your parents. Love the Cowboy Hats....and wow a size 9, that is the same as Kiara....Love Cole's haircut...both your kids are so adorable...we sure do miss you guys and btw, Mikiah loves her new book, Thanks so much!
Sounds like fun with your folks! Love the haircut! Very cute pics and so amazing to see how big the kids are getting!
